Green energy : electric vehicle in India
With changing times, society has always witnessed great and somewhat better changes in world. Such changes brings minor or major initiatives for the development in a manner to benefit the society. Green energy is one such mechanism that helps in decreasing the dependency of non-renewable sources (eg. Coal , petroleum) for energy. Green energy, green as in environment friendly.
India being a developing country, trying its best to minimise the affects of industrial outlets on environment. One such initiative is electric vehicle- to change the whole automobile industry structure, however, using its full potential India has started the electric vehicle revolution. The govt of India has started National electric mobility mission plan in 2013 with an objective to support electric vehicle development. It has two phases by the names- FAME1 and FAME2 in order to encourage faster adoption of EV(electric vehicle) and hybrid vehicle. Here govt is also offering upfront incentives on purchase of EV.
1. ON 2 WHEELER EV- rs. 15000/KWH of battery capacity.
2. ON 4 WHEELER EV- rs. 10000/KWH of battery capacity upto 1.5 lakh subsidy.
